Open Question: How many different ways can I adjust the brightness and contrast, of my Compaq Presarios lap-tops screen?
Even when I adjust the brightness by pressing the f7 or f8 (with shift) keys, or go into the Mobile PC or Windows Mobility Centre Control Panel (Vista) on my lap top, I still find the screen either too dim, dark, or bright to use. I usually use my lap top at night.
I'm in a small room, with a light in the centre of the ceiling, switched on behind me.
I currently have the brightness bar in the Vista Home Basic Control Panel - Mobile PC or Windows Mobility Centre set to 60 out of 100.
Isn't there a third way to adjust the brightness and contrast of the screen on Compaq Presario lap tops?
Mine is a C719TU model.
Also, after the display/screen lights up again, (after being set to go off, after no computer activity or use for 1 minute), the screen is brighter (80%) than when it was, prior to the display/screen turning itself off.
Why is this, it's annoying.
