Open Question: What are the cheapest Telephone options?
Got a new apartment, but don't have a phone yet.
What would be the absolute cheapest home telephone service? I need to be able to receive calls and make outgoing calls in the United states.
Skype? can this actually call and get calls from normal phone lines?
magic jack? does this get a phone number and able to call regular phones?
something ive never heard of?
Basically I'm just looking for a home telephone service that is as cheap as possible. I wont be using it much at all, but i do need to be able to make calls and receive calls from normal telephone and cell phone lines.
bonus question: What would be the absolute cheapest mobile phone? i heard there are cell phones that can work off of Wi-Fi access points. Sure you must find a hot spot, but if you do they cost nearly nothing. anyone know anything about this setup?
Open Question: POLL: What is one thing you cannot leave home without?
Hi.
What is that one thing that you HAVE to take with you, whether it be a necessity or just for comfort?
For me, it's my mobile (cell) phone.
What about you?

Open Question: I want to be a journalist and . . . .?
I recently had a life epiphany. I want to a jounalist. I have big dreams of New York skylights and amazing parties only to return home and write the simplistic realities of life. Next semester I'll start taking classes but I want to began my research now. I have a few questions and I'd appreciate suggestions.
1. I think blogging would be a great way to get my creative juices flowing but I don't trust my home computer. Is there a mobile friendly website I can blog from? (Mind you, I don't have a blackberry, just a t-mobile tap)
2. Are there any small time publications that except amatuer writers?
Open Question: Opera mini browser is not working on my Nokia2700 Classic mobile phone?
Opera mini browser is not working on my Nokia 2700 Classic mobile phone and that is the default browser on the phone. But I can use other web services like facebook, Ovi.mobile, Nokia home and AccuWeather that came with the phone. What do I need to do to use the browser, because I can't use other internet links.
Thanks
Open Question: I had a job interview and I told them I didn’t graduate from college, but really I did…10 points?
I have a bachelor of science degree in communications since May 2008 and have been looking for work ever since. It seems everywhere they seem to think I am overqualified for a job like at McDonalds, or either there is too much competition and I don't get a better job. Anyhow, I was finally interviewing for a job at a thrift store yesterday, and I thought my college degree would overqualify me for the job (as has always been the case in the past with mediocre jobs). I did not mention my degree on my application, but for some reason the guy asked me if I had been to college (probably because I have never been able to get a paying job and therefore the only experience I could write about was volunteering in college. I had no choice). I reluctantly told him that I went to college for awhile, but didn't graduate (which was of course a lie). But he seemed so laid back and I felt so bad that in the end I just ended up telling him that I really did graduate from college. He didn't seem to care about it and he said he wants to help me, but now I just can't stop thinking about what I said and getting upset, and I worry that he may not hire me because of it. For instance he said he has to do a background check on me and I feel like it's because he doesn't trust me now since I lied, whereas he may have before.
I guess I am just SO desperate for a job that I just don't know what to do anymore. As it is I am sharing a mobile home with my dad and my brother, who is 26 but has autism so he can't drive or get a job, and my dad is retired and only gets about $800, $600 of which has to go to rent alone. Between that and the other bills we have nothing left at the end of the month, and I am just so tired of seeing other people be able to go out and do things just because they happened to get hired for a job that I would gladly do 100x better.
We also only have 1 car which my dad bought, and at 24 I just recently got to take driver education, which costs $325 and is mandatory in the state of Maryland. When I went out driving with an instructor I wasn't able to drive at all, so I was supposed to practice driving/parking e.t.c. with my dad, then call them this month to go back and finish the class so I can pass. But the car is my dad's car and more often than not he wants to drive, and even when I do drive or when we go anywhere we are all always there, so I never drove by myself. But I don't learn anything if I'm not doing it.
