Resolved Question: why am i scared of storms?
i am 17. i live in a trailor (mobile home) and i hate it! i much rather live in the apt we used to live in but everytime it storms or anything i get soo scared! especially if the wind is strong. i live in peoria, az and i know that the weather is really mild but right now its monsoon season and like 2 weeks before school there was this huge storm that i think would be considered a hurricane like a mild hurricane tho cuz i was driving and my truck swerved i had to stay inside wendys until it was over it was about an hour atleast. the wind was very strong atleast 70 mph and it was raining so hard i couldnt see out the wendys windows because they were fogging up! scariest sh it ive ever seen in arizona! but anyways i cant stay here when it storms i leave and stay at a friends or my grandpas house because i hate being here i can hear it big time its so loud!!!!

Open Question: Is it really the law regarding ID in Australia?
Is it really the law in NSW or Australia for that matter that when you decide to sell something to a business you have to provide your ID as proof. And why is that? Isn't there a minimal limit on this?
The reason I am asking is that I inquired on the internet, about a mobile recycling business where they pay you for your used mobile. I saw it advertised on current affairs. They asked for my details ie my name and address (fair enough) my IMEI no: - okay and then upon them sending me the pre-paid package to place my phone in. they also asked me to send them my ID.
Of course I didn't proceed because I thought it was too intrusive to send my ID for a few measly dollars over the post. It's too risky, it could be manipulated between my home and it's destination. ID theft is what concerns me the most.
Can anyone explain the law regarding providing ID to business' please? I would also like your personal opinion.
Sure I know they only want a photocopy but I still don't like the idea of sending one in case the details of my ID gets in the wrong hands. Shouldn't the IMEI number be sufficent in this case because it's not like we are dealing with huge amounts of money here?
